My from address was always showing up the @ symbol. I have wordpress 2.9. Looks similar to other probs on the forum. I went into the mail_send.php file for the thank me later plugin and changed the following code:
$email = $this->parse_dyntext($message["email"],$comment);

to:
$email = $this->parse_dyntext($message["from_email"],$comment);

That fixed my problem! Just a heads up. Do you think its a bug or compatibility issue due to the older version of WP?

I haven't changed anything in the settings of my message; however, it was recently brought to my attention that the emails are now going out as (unknown sender) even though I have the name and email address fields filled out. I tried setting up a new message and it has the same problem. Can you please look into this?

Best,

I upgrade to the new version of Thank Me Later, using the auto-update option of wordpress and always that I go to the settings page of the plug in I got this error:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in .../blog/wp-content/plugins/thank-me-later-old/tml_includes/admin/admin_pages.php on line 5

Then I download the new version 2.0.0.1 and install again and get the same error.

I downgrade to the version 1.5.3 and everything it's working fine.

I'm using wordpress 2.8.4.

Any ideas?

On many Wordpress instances, WP-Cron, a peice of Wordpress software designed to run scripts at regular intervals, does not work as expected. Thank Me Later will automatically detect when WP-Cron isn't working, and revert to 'Legacy Mode' which introduces work-around measures to replicate (to a certain extent) the behaviour of WP-Cron.

In most cases, it is not worth trying to fix this issue since Thank Me Later will work near-perfect with 'Legacy Mode'. Certainly, for inexperienced users, the advice would be to stay away. If, however, you wish to fix WP-Cron, you can follow the advice in this thread.

Please contribute any fixes you have to this thread.

Note: If WP-Cron isn't working, it may take up to 2 hours from install for Thank Me Later to send any e-mails, regardless of the message configuration.
