Welcome to Infinity−Infinity

Hello!

Welcome to my new blog, Infinity−Infinity (“Infinity Minus Infinity” or “∞−∞”). ∞−∞ is a blog about website development, including scripting and programming, security, design and a little blogging. My plan is to post some useful information, questions and insights, and then fill the rest with near-worthless, random ramblings.

About Me

My name is Brendon Boshell. I enjoy developing websites and currently operate MTW:ED, Making the Web, and a collection of other (not so important) sites. Outside of website development, I also like Mathematics and Physics, and am currently studying these at college. Feel free to network with me on one of these services:

Why “∞−∞”?

Well, Infinity is great because it doesn’t really mean much when used in arithmetic operations. ∞−∞ is meaningless, but hypothetically (in recognising ∞ as a value greater than every other value) it could mean any value (and every value?)*. This blog, really, is a about anything; although generally about web development, it does not have a specific focus niche. This, paired with the domain being available, made it great for my blog.

* That is why you see “∞−∞ =” in the title bar; because it equals whatever you are reading!

Some Targets

I know what will happen: if I don’t have any targets, I will probably forget about this blog. So, I am going to set these targets to give me incentive to update this blog with useful posts:

  • In 6 months, have at least 100 subscribers;
  • Write a post at least once a week;
  • In 6 months, make at least $100 from advertising, promotion, etc;
  • Get an article featured on a high exposure site (Digg, Slashdot, etc) within the next 6 months.

Enjoy!
